Yesterday we got a visit from a 2013 Ford Escape here at Acton Ford.
It pulled onto our parking lot almost in slow motion. The sun bouncing off the slightly tinted windows and the headlights drawing your attention. The wheels spinning just enough to enjoy the alloy, but also prepared to take off at any moment. It slowly approached the guest parking area and rested there. We looked on anticipating the door to open wondering who would come out, but the Escape didn’t move. The Escape was fully aware of the gazes and enjoyed it. You could hear its sound system as if it were clearing its throat getting ready for a speech. Then it opened its door and spoke……

Caroll Shelby is Best known within the Ford Family for his contributions to the Mustang Product Line. Shelby and his team have been engineering high performance Shelby Mustangs and Mustang Parts. The following is a statement from Edsel Ford II, regarding the passing of Carroll Shelby:
“Today, we have lost a legend in Ford Motor Company’s history, and my family and I have lost a dear friend. Carroll Shelby is one of the most recognized names in performance car history, and he’s been successful at everything he’s done. Whether helping Ford dominate the 1960s racing scene or building some of the most famous Mustangs, his enthusiasm and passion for great automobiles over six decades has truly inspired everyone who worked with him. He was a great innovator whose legend at Ford never will be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.”
